Franck Ribery wants Bayern Munich in Champions League 2011/2012

Bayern Munich attacker Franck Ribery has made it clear that he's desperate to reach next year's Champions League with the Bavarians.

The German champions are struggling to secure a return to the showpiece tournament due to their poor form in the Bundesliga this season, but the French international winger told TZ of his desire to be among Europe's elite.

"It's very hard for a big player when you're not sure whether your team will qualify for the Champions League. I went through this before in my first season at Bayern. We played UEFA Cup football then and it wasn't much fun," he said toTZ.

Ribery went on to say that leaving the club isn't an option for him, though, as he has an ongoing contract with Bayern and is very happy at the club.

"I've already decided for myself that I want to stay. My contract with Bayern runs four more years and I'm not even thinking about a transfer. I'm feeling very well at the club and I don't want to leave Bayern."

The former Marseille man added that it's important for the club to hold on their star players, concluding: "I obviously want Arjen Robben to stay as well. It's very important for Bayern that Lahm, Robben, Ribery and Schweinsteiger all stay at the club."
