Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger has stated that AC Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel and Malaga defender Martin Demichelis won't return to the Bavarians in the summer transfer window.
Both Van Bommel and Demichelis left Bayern in January and a number of recent rumours suggested that the duo could return to Germany at the end of the season.
"We will definitely not re-sign any players who have previously left the club," Nerlinger was quoted as saying bySport Bild.
Nerlinger then went on to add that Bayern are keen to strengthen their back-line, but ruled out a move for Hannover's Emanuel Pogatetz.
"We have to make a few signings at the back. We need at least two, and perhaps even three, additions to our back-line.
"Benfica's Fabio Coentrao and Ajax's Gregory van der Wiel are interesting players. The rumours linking us with Hannover's Pogatetz aren't true, though."
